Last week I thought my new project would be leg warmers, but I decided I didn't think the yarn I had in mind would be quite right. I opted to start a pair of socks for my daughter instead. So far I am really happy with they way they are turning out.
Last week due to this and this, I had time to get some reading and knitting done. Amazing what a little free time can bring! I even had the chance to check out a yarn shop in the area. In the sun I perused a couple of knitting magazines, read Knitlit
(I like the beginning better than the end), and the new edition of mater et magistra. I was also able to start Hunger Games
. I wish I would have started it sooner, it's a page turner!

I picked up some knitting themed fiction from the library. I have not had time to read them yet. Looking forward to it though. I'm really enjoying seeing what everyone is doing and reading in the yarn along.
