We spent a lot of time reading this week. We started The Moffat's and Who Was Marco Polo? The area schools had a snow day on Monday and then Tuesday and Wednesday rained buckets. My kids who will be outside in just about any kind of weather were stuck inside most of the week.
Sarah and I worked on the lapbook that goes along with our Italy study.
We made candles for Candlemas, a quick and easy craft. The kids really had fun, and there was no clean up for me!
I also spent a good portion of the week getting ready for BEECH Retreat! I packed, spent a lot of time doing laundry so the kids had clothes to wear while I was gone, and did some prep work for the retreat.
While it will be a wonderful time away, it's going to be a weekend of learning, networking, and more learning. I'm sure it's not entirely true, but this is one of those situations where I feel like everyone knows what's going on but me!
I know I'll come home with my head spinning with goodness and ways to improve many aspects of my blog.

We wish you were here too!!
A lot of my bloggy friends went to the Beech Retreat! I keep meaning to do rolled beeswax candles for Candlemas, but I always seem to be so busy this time of year, I forget!
Wow! Seems like a lot of bloggers are going to BEECH! You're going to have a blast!
I wish you were here, too! We were talking about you last night and how you always inspire us, Jess.
