Easy Advent Craft

December 3, 2013 by Jen 6 Comments

You know I’m all about easy when it comes to crafts!

I saw this idea on Pinterest and then Laurie had the idea to add purple glitter for Advent.  Yes, ma’am.  The perfect idea.

This is an easy, inexpensive and quick craft for Advent.  Perhaps you even have all of the supplies in your craft drawer.

Advent Candle Supplies

* Mason jars
* Glue
* Glitter
* Candles

I thinned out the glue just a bit with water, then used a small brush to brush the glue on the inside of the jar.  Then dump a small amount of glitter into the jar and roll it around until the glue is covered in glitter.

That’s it!

Making the Most of the Season

Remember, crafts don’t need to be complicated and labor intensive to be meaningful.

It really is the little things that we do consistently over time that our children appreciate and remember the most.
Don’t let yourself get bogged down this Advent/Christmas season with elaborate plans.  Don’t buy into the lie that more is better, it’s simply not true.  Let your family traditions grow over time, it’s all the more sweet.

Be blessed this Advent!

    I love this! Our candles melted the first full year we were in Florida and I’m embarrassed to say that I haven’t replaced them. This we could do and actually keep from season to season!

    Doesn’t the glue melt? Or the glitter flame up?

    […] better than anyone.  You know which ones would be horrified getting their hands dirty making adorable Advent lanterns but would blossom when taking the time to visit the sick.  You know which ones would crack open […]
