Make Every Weekend Count

In honor of the First Official Day of Summer, I thought I would post our "Make Every Weekend Count" list.  What is our Make Every Weekend Count list?  Very simple.  Here in the midwest our summers are beautiful, but oh so short!  This past winter in particular felt never ending.  So in order to make sure we aren't sitting here on Labor Day saying "where did the summer go and what did we even do???"

We made a list of fun family things to do on the weekends.  The list is not any particular order, and these are just suggestions, not a must do, but we are going to make a point to do at least one thing on the list each weekend.

~ picnic dinner at the park

~ mini-golf

~ zoo

~ outdoor water park

~ nighttime swimming

~ local living history museum

~ drive in movie {yes! we actually have a couple in our area}

~ A & W meal

~ pick blueberries

~ spend the day at Lake Michigan

~ go-karts

~ botanical gardens

~ railway bike ride

~ baseball game/trip

~ end of the summer wrap-up trip to Mackinac Island {maybe!}
