Summer Bucket/Project List

Sarah and her “bucket” – summer 2005

Summer 2012 Bucket List
1.  Blueberry Picking

2.  Beach/Dune Buggy Ride

3.  Henry Ford/Greenfield Village

4.  Night time swimming

5.  Water Park – we can already check this off our list!

6.  Cedar Point – a majority of the kids are finally tall enough to ride many of the rides, this is on our list of things to do when cousins are in town over the 4th of July.  We can’t wait!

7.  A & W – Drive in Restaurant

8.  Mackinac Island – this is one of our favorite places to go, we wanted to go last year and never got there.  We’re hoping to fit it in sometime this summer/early fall.  While we are there it would be great to visit The Father Marquette National Memorial.
9.  Columbus Zoo – this zoo is so close to us, I can’t believe we haven’t been there yet.

10.  Reptile House – perfect little afternoon field trip.

12.  Watch the Olympics – for obvious reasons we love the Olympics in our house.

13.  A moment to sit down on the front porch and read a book from my giant to be read pile

14.  Visit a shrine in our area

I need to make a list like this. So many things I want to do this summer! We went to Henry Ford a couple of years ago, and then drove up to Mackinac Island – so much fun!

Sounds like a great list! I haven’t been to Henry Ford since I was 10 or 11. I am sure I would appreciate it much more now as an adult. When organizing your DVDs, if you come to one really scratched up one that you just can’t part with, try this! http://thehandmadedress.blogspot.com/2008/09/do-you-suffer-from-scrached-dvds_27.html. My friend did this on her daughter’s favorite DVD and said it worked wonderfully. I plan on using it on a few of my boys’ CDs that they have loved just way too much.

Great list, Jen! Super duper cute pictures, all of them! Gosh, it really does fly by so quickly. Too quickly!

What a fun list and even more fun to check off once they are accomplished:) We just went blueberry picking and it’s always a family favorite. Love the idea of sitting down and reading a book from our pile…I always have the best intentions but find that it really does need to be intentional! Have a blessed summer:)

Love the list, Jen! I also love the mini office. What a great resource! I hope you have a wonderful summer :-)

Great list! I love the pictures. So, so sweet! Cedar Point was the first place that I road a roller coaster! I am sure it is much more sophisticated now, but it was pretty awesome at the time. I am also working on reworking the workboxes. I am not sure how they will work next year.

Jen — when you head north to Mackinac, stop by the Cross in the Woods at Indian River.
