Homeschool Curriculum 2014-2015 Elementary & Middle School

Homeschooling Curriculum in a Large Family

{may contain affiliate links}

Getting everyone ready for another homeschool year, always puts my organization tools to the test. Particularly in a large family. I try to do as much group, or family style learning as I can. I think it’s more dynamic for the kids and makes life a bit easier for me. Of course I do have to account for different learning styles and levels.

Last fall when we moved from Michigan to Florida, we modified our studies a bit until January. In January we started our full curriculum which was Tapestry of Grace. In December we will finish year 3 of Tapestry of Grace and then go on to Paths of Progress from Geography Matters. We liked TOG for a great number of reasons, but I believe Paths of Progress will be a better fit for our family. The younger kids will then do Five in a Row – vol.4 {excited to be doing FIAR again – yay!} Here’s a peek at my FIAR Pinterest Board.

It also goes without saying we do lots of little things each week to enhance our homeschool learning and plenty of great field trips.

Here are the plans for our year:
