Shoes!

I recently "discovered" what a huge difference it makes to know where everyone's shoes are the night before we plan to go anywhere. I have been putting shoes out on the bench, untied and ready to go, for Jonah, Sarah & Leah. It makes the morning rush so much easier. Instead of standing and staring into the shoe closet holding one shoe and looking for the mate, we are out the door. Now if only I could get everyone to take their shoes off right when they come home and place them neatly in the shoe closet I would be all set! It shouldn't have taken me so long to come to this revelation, but better late than never. Plus, now we are going to have two more pairs of shoes thrown into the mix each time we go out. I think I need to do some serious shoe closet pruning.

Kitchen Helper

Sarah was helping me get dinner ready tonight.  She was excited to "cook".  As she was setting the table the song More Beautiful You was on.  How appropriate, I hope she never forgets it!

Playing Kitchen

I love it that Jacob will still play kitchen with his sisters!!

Lost Tooth!!!

The first lost tooth is always so exciting!! The tooth next door should be out shortly as well :)

Plastic Dora cup....$3.00

being too tired to finish your dinner.....priceless!!

Baseball Tournament

Jacob had a baseball tournament in Adrian last weekend.   He and Bob had a great weekend of baseball!  They played two games on Saturday and one game on Sunday.  Sadly, they didn't win a game, but still had lots of fun.  We brought a picnic lunch to eat between the games on Saturday.  Jonah and Sarah had fun playing with the younger sibs from the team and Leah spent her time wandering around!  One tournament down and three more to go.  Go Blue Sox!!

Narnia

Bob started reading the Narnia series to the boys a short while ago.  They just finished The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe.  So far the boys have loved the story.  Tonight they are watching Narnia (and edited version!) for the first time.  Glad to see them all so excited about a book!

Potty Training - Day 1

Potty training begins with Leah, today!  I thought I should commemorate the event because I think it will be a long potty training summer.  It is only 10:30am and already she is on her 4th pair of Dora underwear.  I am not sure pull-ups will work with her, she needs to feel that she has to go to the bathroom.  If we lived in an area with no neighbors I would send her outside with a long t-shirt for the next few days.  Unfortunately we have lots of neighbors and Leah's favorite place to play is the street.  People might notice that.
