Fall on Mackinac Island
I got the idea of having theme nights from the book Simplicity Parenting. If you haven't yet read it, you should! Children find much comfort in having the same rhythm throughout each week, and evening meals can anchor the day. As always feast days or any other special day trumps our normal rhythm. For instance we will probably have a special baseball dinner during the World Series.
Hopefully you will be able to access the plan here!

your Fall meal plan looks great. thank you for sharing! I like how you rotate the menu for Saturday dinner. and seeing everything in writing I'm sure helps you make out your grocery list. you are so organized!
Thank you for sharing your plan- I printed it. We have been working on a "meal plan" since your summer post, but this was our first week of success! (just with dinners) I love that you included breakfast and lunch too. :)
I keep meaning to purchase that book. YOu've made so many great references to it. I love your meal plan idea.
My kids are rather simple eaters as well. Although, I do have to say, they have been trying new things lately. An A for effort. And then, if it is too "yucky", I won't make it again, at least for the little people.
Lately, I just ask them to each offer one meal suggestion for the week. They have come up with some good ideas, mostly kid-friendly.
I also love breakfast/dinners. I find those great during lent as well!
Jen~Thank you for the inspiration and for sharing your plan with us. I have never been organized enough to do this but I have always admired the idea. I printed your plan and just might give it a whirl. Thanks again:)
Ladies - thanks for your nice comments. I am not very organized, thats why I must do a plan or we eat cereal for dinner :) Hope you find it helpful.
Thanks for sharing this Jen :)
I like how you have it written out! I am slowly working my way to get organized better in the kitchen and cooking :)
Have a blessed day!
Tracy
